What is Tufting?

Tufting is an ancient technique not only used to make clothing but also rugs! The method you will learn in this workshop will be done with an automated SNS tufting gun to speed up the process!

Do I need to know how to draw to make a rug?

No! We will have your design prepared and ready to tuft when you arrive to our class! Drawing skills are not a necessity.

When do I choose my design?

After you pay for your spot, you will have a confirmation message that will have instructions on how to choose/submit your design before you come to the workshop. This is so we can have your design and colors of yarn prepared!

Can I bring a friend to tuft with me?

Yes! Adding a friend to help you with your piece is (+$50). Adding a partner to your party to tuft a rug of their own is (+$150) You may add as many of either as you like while checking out.

Is there parking?

Yes, there is free parking on-site on the weekends. Weekday classes have paid street parking and paid parking deck behind the building. At Our NYC location you will have to use street parking and abide by local laws.

Do I get to take my rug home with me?

No, the last part is gluing, trimming and backing process of your rug. Pickup details will be provided upon finishing the workshop

Can my rug be held for me, or mailed?

Yes holding your rug is an additional $10/week. Shipping is $20

Established in 2021, Safe N‘ Sound is a brand committed to providing you with quality products, experiences, and impressions .

We started our brand providing customers custom handmade rugs and we still do!

We got the idea to introduce classes in January 2023, with our rug tufting class being held at The Burrow in downtown Raleigh. Now we offer Monthly classes that will be hosted at The Portal NC located at 2902 Hillsborough St. Raleigh NC. (Close to NC State).

We love to teach and meet new people with an interest in creating their own art piece, join us and reserve a spot now!
